Cross County Community School District

The Cross County volleyball team finished as runner-up in the CRC Volleyball Tournament. On Saturday, the Cougars faced East Butler in the opening round of the tournament and swept them 2-0. Again on Saturday, the volleyball team swept Dorchester in the quarter-finals 2-0. The team faced Osceola in the semi-finals and avenged their loss earlier in the season by sweeping the Bulldogs 3-0. The Cougars fought a hard battle in the finals but fell short to BDS in 5 sets. Sub-districts have been set and the cougars will travel to Hayes Center to take on the winner of Arcadia Loup City and Twin River on Tuesday, October 29th. If the Cougars win on Tuesday they will play in the sub-district championship on Wednesday, October 30th.
